About the role

As our Head of Business Development, you’ll be at the forefront of building and scaling our outbound function from the ground up. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping how we attract and engage clients globally, laying the foundation for long-term growth.

This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with the excitement of creating something new. Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and a talented team, you’ll define and refine our outbound approach, hire a team, test new strategies, and develop a scalable playbook.

Example work in this role

As the Head of Business Development, you’ll combine strategic oversight with thoughtful execution to drive results:

  • Own the function: Lead all aspects of outbound business development, driving demand in partnership with the sales and marketing team.
  • Setting the foundation: Develop the playbook for outbound business development, designing outreach strategies, and establishing scalable processes. Additionally, support Account Executives in driving outbound demand.
  • Building the team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Development team as the function grows.
  • Experimenting and iterating: Test different prospecting channels and messaging strategies, doubling down on what works and pivoting when needed.
  • Tracking and optimization: Analyze outbound performance data, report on progress, and continuously improve processes to meet core business objectives.

Who you are

  • Proven sales expertise: You have a strong background in outbound sales, preferably within technology or recruitment, and a consistent track record of delivering results.
  • Startup/scale-up experience: You’ve thrived in a fast-paced Sales-led (B2B) environment, ideally at a startup or scale-up.
  • A hands-on builder: You’ve successfully set up business development or sales functions from scratch and enjoy the process of testing, iterating, and scaling.
  • You are biased to speed. We move very quickly, and will expect you to set a similar pace for your function.
  • Exceptional communicator: You’re clear and impactful in your verbal and written communication.
  • Nordics market experience: Familiarity with the Nordics market is a plus.
  • Aligned with Proxify’s values: You embody our core principles—speed, quality, impact, and personal.
  • Plus if you’re tech-savvy and proficient with outbound tools such as Apollo, HubSpot, Lemlist, Outreach, and similar platforms.
  • You speak advanced or native Swedish.
