Application process

Up to 20 000 developers apply to Proxify through our custom Applicant Tracking System every month. Our proprietary applicant screening engine, powered by our internal ML model, Gandalf, analyzes applications against Proxify's historical data. It evaluates experience, tech stack, English fluency, rates, location, and several other data points, segmenting candidates into smart tracks for vetting or deeper assessment. The result: faster, sharper identification of truly standout talent.

Great communication is as critical as great code, and English is a global language for distributed teams. Our AI-powered assessment ensures high-accuracy, unbiased evaluation of English proficiency, capturing fluency, clarity, and professional tone. Because in a remote work environment, strong communicators drive real impact.

Technical assessment

Each candidate receives a time-boxed coding assessment based on real client scenarios. Designed to test the exact competencies and technologies our clients need, using a library of over 100 custom tests and continuously adding more. These tests evaluate not just coding ability, but also how candidates perform under pressure. Results are automatically scored and reviewed, balancing automation with human judgment where it matters most.

Qualified candidates meet our recruiting team for an in-depth interview focused on technical skill-set, soft skills, motivation, communication, availability, and rate alignment, while also setting clear expectations for what success through Proxify looks like. Our proprietary platform takes into account supply and demand signals across our service to ensure we’re vetting for roles that matter right now.

Candidates who pass the assessment advance to a live technical interview with one of our senior engineers. This deep dive includes pair programming, problem-solving walkthroughs, and evaluation of their thought process, code quality, and adaptability. It's where we separate good from great.
