Their CEO stated that the company is not planning on shutting down soon despite these layoffs.

HP

They have reportedly promised to let go of up to 6000 employees over the next three years. HP's revenues declined 11 percent to $14.8 billion due to lower sales of PCs and laptops as consumer demand for this hardware decreased from a Covid-19 pandemic peak.

Stripe

Stripe, a financial services company, announced they will be laying off 14% of their company’s employees in November 2022. Patrick Collison, CEO of Stripe, said in a statement, this decision is mainly due to overhiring staff members.
